Normally a film would be completely financed before you start shooting… But with an indie film, we were just winging it as we went and trying to get finance at each step of the way. But post production can definitely be more expensive than the shoot, since it is a MUCH longer process. There is a huge amount of work that has to go into editing and putting it together :) Editors, composers, sound designers etc work for months on a film’s post-production so their fees can run up very high.
